Documentation

Download, verify and find your way around My BTC Wallet.

Choose a download

Visit Download and choose macOS (.dmg), Windows (.exe), or Linux (.AppImage or .deb). The page highlights the detected desktop operating system; you can always choose another platform manually.

Release files

Installers are published in /downloads/releases/ as MyBTCWallet.dmg, MyBTCWallet-Setup.exe, MyBTCWallet.AppImage and MyBTCWallet.deb. If a download is unavailable, the corresponding release has not been uploaded yet.

Verify a download

Use the platform command in Verify. For the Linux .deb package, replace the AppImage file name with MyBTCWallet.deb. Compare every character of the result with SHA256SUMS.txt. Do not install a file if its checksum differs or no published checksum is available.

A matching checksum confirms that the downloaded file matches the published value. It does not independently audit the software or authenticate a compromised website.

Installation and compatibility

Open a verified installer using your operating system’s normal installation process. See Compatibility for the current website’s compatibility reference, and review the documentation supplied with each release before relying on a particular workflow.

Recovery and backups

Follow the backup and recovery instructions supplied with the installed release. Keep private keys and recovery phrases offline and never submit them to this website.
